Does it work from a photo of the figure?
Yes, and that is the point of using it instead of a calculator. Get the whole figure in frame with its labels and the given measurements, shoot straight on rather than at an angle, and avoid a shadow across the drawing. A printed textbook figure reads more reliably than a hand-drawn one.
Does it show the steps or just the answer?
The steps, with the theorem named at each one. A bare answer is worth almost nothing when the exam asks you to show your work, and it teaches you nothing about the next problem.
Can it do proofs?
It handles the reasoning behind standard results and will lay out why each step follows. A formal two-column proof in the exact format your teacher wants is still something you should write yourself, using the steps as the skeleton.
Does it cover trigonometry?
Yes. The quizzes and flashcards cover the sine, cosine and tangent ratios and the identities alongside geometry, since most geometry problems past a certain point turn into trigonometry anyway. The calculator does both in degrees or radians.
Do I have to type the problem in?
